Material Handler (Forklift Operator)

Job description
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, and supplies
- Transport various materials to designated areas within the facility
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement
- Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance needs
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Assist with general warehouse and production support as needed
- Potentially operating the yard truck to move trailers
- Potentially operating the crane to load/unload materials and stack trailers
- Must be willing to cross-train in multiple areas within the department
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and requirements
- Safety conscious
- Abide by all safety rules
- Good driving record
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to balance multiple tasks
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Good communication
- Self-motivated
- Good attendance record
- Attention to detail
- Organizational and time management skills
- Must be open to cross training within the department
Schedule
Monday-Thursday 10 hour shifts, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays
Compensation package
Starting at $20.06/hr.
The compensation for this position will be determined by the candidate's level of experience.
